CARLSBAD, Calif. – WebTV Networks has selected Buzztime.com, a developer and distributor of interactive sports and trivia games, to provide trivia content for the Games and Sports category offering in WebTV’s Classic and Plus services.
Under the deal, Buzztime.com will also provide an exclusive daily trivia question with the Games and Sports area for WebTV. The content is slated to appear later this summer, WebTV said.
WebTV users will be allowed to “compete in real time against non-WebTV gameplayers who use personal computers or other interactive platforms to connect to Buzztime.com” to play along on the sports participation game network using its live broadcast technology.
Buzztime.com will receive a branded presence for its daily trivia questions on the entry screens of the WebTV Games and Sports category offerings.
