ViewSonic will announce 11 CE and PC products this week here at CES.
The product rollout includes three LCD TVs, three LCD computer monitors and five projectors.
The lead TV device is the N4050w, a 40-inch wide display with 1,280-by-768 native resolution, 600:1 contrast ratio, and 450 nits of brightness. The model features DVI-D, component, composite S and VGA inputs. Estimated street price is $4,999.
The next size down is the N2750w, a 27-inch wide version with similar resolution and contrast ratio as its larger cousin and 550 nits of brightness. Inputs include standard definition, EDTV and HDTV up to 480p/720p and 1,080i. Estimated street price is $1,199.
The entry-level model is the N1750w multifunction LCD TV, estimated street price $599. This has an integrated TV tuner, V-Chip, SAP and two built-in speakers. It can function as either a stand-alone TV or PC monitor.
The company's dedicated PC displays being unveiled are the VP191b, VP171b, and VP171s. The first is a $599 19-inch display with 8-millisecond response time and features a DVI and two analog video inputs. The VP171b and VP171s, both $449, are identical 17-inch models, with the first featuring black, and the latter a silver bezel.
ViewSonic's new LCD projectors are geared toward the consumer and professional markets. The PJ755D is the flagship model with a brightness of 2,700 lumens, a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, RGB, DVI, composite video, component video and S-video inputs. The estimated street price is $2,999. The step-down model is the PJ562, $1,649, which weighs 5.6 pounds, has a brightness of 2,000 lumens RGB, component, composite and S-video inputs. The mid-priced unit is the PJ552, $1,399. It has a brightness of 1,500 lumens, and the same video inputs as the PJ562. The two entry-level priced models are the PJ400 and PJ862. Both carry an $899 price tag. The PJ400 weighs 4.8 pounds, with a brightness of 1,500 lumens and 800-by-600 resolution. The PJ862 is about 4 pounds heavier, but offers a brightness of 3,100 lumens and a resolution of 1,024 by 768.
