ViewSonic Adds FullHD Projectors

Brea, Calif. –ViewSonic plans August deliveries of new 1080p projectors equipped with new SuperColor technology said to improve brightness and color accuracy.

The LightStream Full HD projectors are the $943-suggested PJD7825HD (black), $1,058 PJD7830HDL (white), and $1,174 PJD7835HD (black), all with a brightness range from 3200 lumens to 3500 lumens, the company said.

The new models also add SonicExpert sound technology that, combined with the integrated speakers, widens the frequency range and reduces distortion at all volume levels, the company said.

The projectors display 3D images from 3D Blu-ray players, feature two HDMI ports, and offer a variety of other in/outs, including RGB, composite, mini USB, USB, and audio in/out.

An integrated PortAll cable-management compartment is also new and includes an MHL/HDMI port, which lets users wirelessly stream multimedia content via optional wireless HDMI dongle such as ViewSonic’s WPG-300 dongle for wireless streaming from mobile devices, notebooks or PCs.

“The new LightStream series of projectors are a complete change for ViewSonic,” a spokesperson said. “They kept the prices competitive (the same if not less on some models) while boosting the technology inside.”
