The new Samsung The Freestyle is a home projector unlike any other – as it’s not just constricted to your home! Instead, you can take the Samsung The Freestyle anywhere, from the classroom to the office to the great outdoors. As long as you have a flat surface to project onto, this handy home projector can project a 100″ screen.

Launched at the start of 2022, the Freestyle home projector is one of the most compact and lightweight of the best mini projectors we’ve seen, weighing only 830g and standing just over 10cm tall.

It promises an astonishing amount of versatility, thanks to its adjustable stand with 180° dynamic angle and its ability to let you improvise a screen up to an incredible 100” in size. This is perfect for watching epic movies in the most unlikely places, although be forewarned: the Samsung The Freestyle home projector will require an external battery pack to use outside.

The Samsung The Freestyle home projector can project in 1080p Full HD resolution and HDR10 and HDR10+ for crystal clear video and rich colors that rivals that of the best DVD players. Samsung haven’t neglected the audio output either, with the Freestyle’s built-in speaker designed to deliver rich and immersive 360° sound.

If you’re thinking that the Samsung Freestyle home projector resembles one of the best smart speakers then you’re not wrong. The projector offers the support of voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Bixby. Additionally, you can ask The Freestyle home projector to stream content from your favorite services, such as Apple TV, Disney Plus, Netflix and YouTube via Samsung Smart TV.

However, one of the smartest tricks up The Freestyle’s sleeves might be the advanced sensors that automatically adjust and correct your view to achieve the crispest picture and the richest colors.

Samsung claims that skewed images are intelligently corrected to achieve a perfectly straight screen. Meanwhile, auto leveling ensures the screen is aligned properly, even if you place the Freestyle on uneven ground. The device automatically focuses for a sharp, clear image, while smart calibration optimizes color tone to adjust for the color of the surface you project on.

The Freestyle also offers over 20 backgrounds that you can project for a little custom ambience, or you can simply display your favorite photo albums for all to see. Samsung are currently taking pre-orders at $899 for The Freestyle home projector, which is expected to begin delivery from February 25.
