The new iSP8 SmartPlug extends the iHome Control family by adding a remote control. Turn on or off any small appliance (up to 1800 watts) such as fans, lights, and heaters remotely or at home via the free iHome Control app. The new iSP8 also includes a free handheld remote control, allowing control from up to 35 feet away. The remote makes is possible for children and guests to control the SmartPlug without the need of a smartphone or tablet. The iSP8 also adds an energy consumption monitoring feature via the app to monitor energy costs of connected appliances.
