True Intros Its First Full-Size Home Fridge

O’FALLON, MO. — Commercial refrigeration resource True Manufacturing has added its first fullsize residential refrigerator to its home appliance line.

The True 42 is a super-premium side-by-side with stainless steel finish and interior compartments, ergonomically-correct tubular handles, industrialgrade door hinges, and clean modern lines.

The 24.4-cubic-foot fridge also features 304 series stainless steel bins, basket drawers and shelves in its refrigerator and freezer compartments.

True, a 70-year-old domestic manufacturer based here, said its use of stainless steel within and without ensures a hygienic, antibacterial and easy-toclean surface that never holds odors.

Other features include 120-degree stay-open doors, a lift-up grill atop the fridge for easy access, and dedicated dual compressors and evaporators to ensure proper air flow and temperature control, and to prevent odor transfer between the fridge and freezer compartments.

“No detail has been spared,” noted sales and marketing director Steve Proctor.

The fridge, which carries a $17,000 suggested retail, joins the lineup within the True Residential division, which produces commercial-grade refrigeration products that are “refined” for the home, including wine cabinets, beverage centers, beer dispensers and refrigerator drawers.

“For years our clients have been asking for a fullsize residential refrigerator that offers the style and performance of our commercial line, with the same … design and quality as our residential under-counter models,” said Proctor. “Working closely with our engineering team and listening to feedback from the design community and world-renowned chefs, we’ve developed a product that we believe will meet, if not exceed, our clients’ high standards.”
