Tony Bennett Shines At Sony Hi-Res Audio Listening Party

New York – Sony organized a high-resolution audio listening party Thursday night to celebrate the launch of the Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga album “Cheek to Cheek,” which will figure prominently in a Sony high-resolution audio promotion.

Bennett put in a guest appearance at the event, held in the music studio in which he and Lady Gaga recorded the album in high-resolution audio. Sony set up high-res listening stations for partygoers to listen to the high-res version of the album on Sony’s high-res home- and portable-audio products.

The newly launched album already hit No. 1 on iTunes, where it’s not available in a high-res format, but it is available in high-res on the music-download sites HD Tracks, Pro Studio Masters and Acoustic Sounds.

In its promotional campaign, Sony is partnering with Interscope Records, Streamline Records and Columbia Records to let music enthusiasts know about high-resolution albums. The new campaign launched Sept. 23 and will run through early 2015, targeting 23 million impressions with a mix of digital and print advertising in both music- and audio-centric publications and research portals.
