Swann Offers Xtreem Atom Mini Drone

Santa Fe Springs, Calif. — Swann is now offering one of the smallest remote-controlled helicopters on the market, the Xtreem Atom Mini Drone, which weighs in at less than half an ounce with rotor diameters of just 1.25 inches.

The tiny size allows for greater speed and superior maneuverability, the company said.

Aimed at kids and first-time pilots, Xtreem’s Easy-Fly Gyro technology helps keep the drone stable at all times. The drone uses an IR signal to communicate with the aircraft yoke-based remote control, which adds joysticks and trim control for eight-way multi-dimensional control including up, down, forward, backward, left and right. In addition, the drone can do back and front flips at the touch of a button.

The rechargeable lithium-poly battery in the helicopter provides up to four minutes of continuous flight time, and the remote control is powered by four AA batteries (not included). The RC helicopter can be recharged via the remote control or by plugging it into any USB device.

The Drone’s 2.4GHz frequency allows it to fly up to 100 feet.

“The Atom is a great example that good things can come in small packages. It’s small but very maneuverable. We think it’s the ideal gift for the holiday season, and a product that even big kids will want on their list from Santa.” commented Jeremy Stewart, Swann marketing VP.

The Atom Mini RC Drone is available today at Fry’s for $39.99.
