Santa Fe Springs, Calif. – Value security camera resource Swann Technologies recently introduced a smartphone/tablet-controlled waterproof Wi-Fi camera ideal for outdoor placement.
The SwannEye HD indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi all-weather security camera ($179 suggested retail) features real-time 720p HD video recording or still images that can be sent directly to a smartphone or tablet.
The camera has waterproof IP66 rating and features a SwannEye Android and iOS app for viewing captured video and stills on PCs, Macs, tablets and smartphones.
The camera shoots images in all lighting conditions, including low-light scenarios, using 12 IR LEDs.
Audio is captured via a built-in microphone.
Swann said setup involves a quick and easy three-step process using a QR code and a smartphone or tablet with no manual networking configuration required.
The camera can be mounted on any flat surface, upside down, on the ceiling or on a wall.
It is available now through Fry’s Electronics.
