Star Wars Themed Droid Turbo 2 Comes To Verizon

Star Wars fans can buy a limited-edition Droid Turbo 2 by Motorola with custom-made designs inspired by one of five different characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Consumers can use Motorola’s Moto Maker on-line custom-configuration tool at home or in Verizon stores to choose custom color palates and backing materials based on key movie characters. The characters are Poe Dameron, Rey, BB-8, a First Order stormtrooper and Kylo Ren. In addition, Star Wars: The Force Awakens wallpaper will be available for the phone through the Google Play store.

The Droid Turbo 2, launched in October, features a drop-proof screen, up to 48 hours of battery life, and a 21-megapixel rapid-focus camera.

The Droid Turbo 2 Star Wars editions are available for $26/month for 24 months ($624 total), or $30/month for 24 months $720) with a design refresh. The option entitles purchasers to one full Moto Maker redesign within two years if they purchase a 64GB model.

Purchasers of the limited-edition phone can also trade in their current phone for up to $300 in savings. And during the Christmas season, new and existing Verizon Wireless customers get 2GB of data for free every month for every phone they add or upgrade on an XL or larger Verizon plan. The data is shareable.
