Sony’s 1st Consumer 8K TV To Ship In June

Pricing for Master series, 4K OLEDs revealed

Sony has released pricing and shipping details for its new flagship Master line of TVs, including the company’s first consumer 8K TV.

It also revealed details for LCD and OLED displays previewed during CES 2019 in January.

Set to ship in May in 65- and 55-inch sizes for $3,499 and $4,499, respectively, the Master A9G 4K OLED TV is engineered with display technology that Sony likens to “approaching that of a professional-grade monitor.” Features include the company’s Picture Processor X1 Ultimate processing technology, Pixel Contrast Booster for more color and contrast in bright areas, Netflix Calibrated Mode and IMAX Enhanced with DTS audio.
