Symmetry Series one-piece cases are constructed with two overmolded materials to absorb and dissipate shock. A beveled edge is slightly elevated from the device display to provide a cushion in the event of a face-down drop. The outer material is a smooth polycarbonate, making the cases easy to slide in and out of pockets and purses.
Fashion-wise, the s boasts wraparound colors and designs, some inspired by the fashion-world elite. For example, OtterBox partnered with Nina Garcia – judge on Project Runway and creative director for Marie Claire magazine – to create a custom Symmetry Series design. Brazilian Pop! (left) was inspired by the vibrant street art of the World Cup host city. The case was included in Garcia’s curated Quarterly Co. box – a fashion and beauty-themed subscription service. The case was also sold on Otterbox.com and proved so successful that it was picked up by Best Buy. The cases retail for $39.95 to $44.95.
