Sennheiser Develops In-House Discount Program For Retailers & Distributors

Provides products at up to 55% discount for demoing purposes

Sennheiser has launched a program for retailers and distributors that provides its products at a steep discount for staff-only use.

The new Not For Resale (NFR) program enables Sennheiser resellers, distributors and other partners to receive 55 percent off the MSRP for headsets and speakerphones, and 40 percent off the MAP price for TeamConnect Wireless SMB audio-conferencing solutions. It’s being enacted in order to give partners the opportunity to familiarize themselves with Sennheiser’s products, the audio manufacturer said, enhancing their ability to describe and demo the products to consumers.

Resellers are permitted to purchase a combination of up to 300 discounted headsets and/or speakerphone units per calendar year, while resellers, direct dealers and distribution partners can acquire up to 24 TeamConnect-branded products per calendar year. Products are only to be used in-house, dealers who resell them will be terminated from the program.

Some more fine print: Resellers are required to make these purchases via credit card, and dealers and distributors must work via purchase order. All orders must be pre-approved by Sennheiser sales directors or Sennheiser distribution managers.

“In a sense, personal use of the product is a stamp of approval,” said Dawn Birr, enterprise solutions channel manager at Sennheiser. “We’re proud to proliferate these high-performance audio devices among our channel partners, making it easier for them to satisfy ongoing opportunities in the marketplace.”
