CITY OF INDUSTRY, CALIF. — Sceptre will ship this summer a 1080p 24-inch LED LCD TV, incorporating a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ration, SRS TruSurround HD and a 5ms refresh rate.
Model E246BW-FHD ($400 suggested retail) offers a gloss-black, slim lightweight design, dual HDMI ports and USB connection capabilities.
The LED HDTV doubles as a PC monitor and includes SRS TruSurround HD with processing for up to 6.1 channels over two speakers or headphones, Sceptre said.
Inputs include dual HDMI ports and a USB port, the later with support for MP3 music files and digital photos.
The set’s panel is said to produce a 300 cd/m2 brightness level and a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. It features a 5ms response time and is compliant with EnergyStar 4.0 specs.
Sceptre is distributing the E246BW-FHD through Target, Sears, Costco and NewEgg.
It will join the 27-inch X270BVFHD, which is currently in stores.
In related news, the company announced a new Fuzion TV mounting system to support TVs up to 55 inches and up to 235 pounds of multimedia equipment.
The Fuzion system ($299 suggested retail) features 6mm thick tempered black silkscreen glass shelves, scratch resistant powder coated steel and curved wood posts.
It also allows the set to be swiveled or titled for the proper viewing angle.
Sceptre is distributing the stand through Costco and Newegg.com.
