Samsung has named Thomas Rhee and Kevin Proctor to vice president positions in the company. Rhee, most recently director of digital marketing, will be VP of digital convergence marketing and Proctor, previously director of national account sales, will now be VP of sales and marketing for the company.
Rhee is responsible for initiatives concerning Samsung’s DVD products, MP3 player, digital still camera and future digital products. His promotion is part of a reorganization that divides the Digital Media Group into two areas: Visual Media Marketing and Digital Convergence Marketing.
Proctor, who has been with the company since 1988, has been working with Samsung’s large retail accounts.
“The timing for this move is critical for the Samsung Digital Group,” said Myoung Woo Lee, senior VP for Samsung Electronics America. “We are concentrating much of our efforts and resources to leave our mark in the digital arena.”
