Samsung On The Road Again With QLED TV Gaming Tour

Samsung is hitting the road this summer with its QLED TVs in tow.

Samsung is hitting the road this summer with its QLED TVs in tow.

To help get the word out about its self-described game-enhancing quantum-dot displays, the company has outfitted a trailer truck with its latest QLED line, and is inviting consumers to run the panels through their paces using the “Forza Motorsport 7” racing video game for Xbox. Guests can demo the TVs in custom-built gaming pods powered by Xbox One X consoles, and can compete for a daily prize that goes to the driver of the fastest lap.

Samsung says its 2018 QLEDs provide “a truly immersive gaming experience” thanks to their 4K HDR images and AMD’s Radeon FreeSync adaptive refresh technology for stutter-free game play.

The company launched its QLED Cup Experience Tour at last week’s E3 gaming show in Los Angeles, and will be hitting Fry’s Electronics stores up and down the West Coast through July.

The traveling showcase will also make a pit stop at the San Diego Comic-Con July 19-22 before moving on to Fry’s, Conn’s HomePlus and Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) stores in Arizona, Nevada and Texas through August.

Additional truck stops are being added, Samsung said.
