Ridgefield Park, N.J. – Among the leaders in the Chromebook space, Samsung recently unveiled its spin on the Chromebook 2, ringing in at a $250 suggested retail.
Samsung’s Chromebook 2 offers an 11.6-inch 1366-by-768 screen, powerful Intel Celeron (N2840) Bay Trail processor, with speeds up to 2.58GHz and 1 MB L2 cache, for “blazing fast” performance, Samsung said.
Other features include overall system memory of 2GB, eMMc technology and a storage capacity of 16GB.
The Samsung Chromebook 2 also offers high-powered speakers with enhanced low range round and high definition audio.
The Chromebook 2 is said to offer up to nine hours of battery life per charge and adds a built-in 720p HD web camera, an internal microphone and a 2.6 pound design, measuring half an inch thin.
The Samsung Chromebook 2 carries a $249.95 suggested retail and is available for pre-order on www.samsung.com, with availability expected the week of October 20, 2014.
