RTI Adds Single-Room A/V Control Kit

Shakopee, Minn. — Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) has begun shipping a control solution that bundles all of the components needed to control an A/V system and other electronics in a single room.

The kit consists of the company’s T2i 433MHz RF remote, RP-4 control processor with RF receiver and IR outputs, and RTiPanel app, which enables system control from Apple devices via the control processor’s Ethernet port.

With the RP-4, remote, and app, A/V components and other equipment, including the RP-4, can be hidden away in a closet for a clean look.

With the kit, said sales and marketing VP Scott Kelley, the company is providing integrators with a single-room control solution with high performance “at an extremely affordable cost.” The company said integrators can contact distributors for pricing.

The kit is targeted to smaller home theaters, smaller media centers, and bedrooms.

The included RP-4 RF control processor features integrated 433MHz RF receiver, four assignable IR output ports, two voltage-sensing inputs, and two programmable relay outputs. The kit also includes four IR emitters.

The processor can be controlled from the RTiPanel app, enabling up to five users to control an installed A/V system via Apple smartphones and tablets.

The T2i remote features 2.8-inch color touchscreen and programmable hard buttons, enabling installers to provide a home or business with a consistent UI across all controllers.
