Finally! Making good on a promise made at its introduction launch last November, DirecTV Now is available for select Roku devices and TV sets starting today.
Not having an app for the leading supplier of streaming content devices has been a thorn in the side of many cord cutters, and having the service available on Roku products finally brings parity to Apple TV; Amazon Fire TV; and iOS, Android and web-based apps.
“Launching on the Roku platform was an important part of our strategy,” said Brad Bentley, executive VP/chief marketing officer for DirecTV parent AT&T Entertainment Group.
