Revel expanded its opening-price Concerta speaker series with the brand’s first on-wall speakers and first wireless powered sub.
The $999 B120 sub is 17.75 inches by 15.75 inches by 14 inches and features 12-inch driver, 250-watt amp, parametric room equalization, continuously variable crossover at 50-150Hz with a 24dB/octave slope, phase switch, volume control and built-in wireless receiver. The optional $120 TX1 wireless transmitter delivers signals to up to two subwoofers at a time, and two transmitters can be used simultaneously to create a four-subwoofer system. The sub is available in black, silver or cherry.
The on-wall Concerta speakers, voiced for placement on or close to a wall, join the Harman brand’s selection of in-room, in-wall, and in-ceiling speakers. The on-wall models include the $250-each M8 two-way with two 3-inch woofers and one 1-inch tweeter. It functions as a small front speaker or as a surround. The $500-each M10 three-way features dual 3-inch woofers, dual 3-inch midranges and 1-inch tweeter. It’s designed as a front left-right speaker. The $500-each C10 is a center channel with the M10’s specs. And the LCR8 is a $750 three-channel soundbar with dual 3-inch woofers and 1-inch tweeter per channel. All can be used with the wireless sub to extend bass response. A stand for the M10 retails for $200 each.
