New York — RCA has begun shipping its Ultra-Thin HDTV indoor antenna, designed to receive free TV broadcasts in both UHF and VHF frequencies in up to 1080i.
Two models are available: The first can receive signals up to 30 miles away, while the second enables users located on the outer fringe of a broadcast tower’s range to pick up signals using RCA’s SmartBoost amplified technology. This will amplify weak signals to preserve purity as well as reduce signal noise with precision circuitry, said the company.
Both models are reversible and paintable, and they can be installed using removable two-sided mounting tape.
The non-amplified model (ANT1100F) carries a $49.99 suggested retail, while the amplified model (ANT1150F) is $69.99.
RCA is a Voxx Accessories brand.
