PSB Subwoofer Goes Any Which Way

Pickering, Ontario — PSB developed its first subwoofer that can be placed horizontally under furniture and in media cabinets, vertically on the floor, or mounted on a wall.

The $499-suggested low-profile SubSeries 150,shipping this month, features a curved gloss-black cabinet that measures 17.1 by 10.9 by 3.9 inches. The subwoofer’s 6.5-inch polypropylene woofer faces up when the subwoofer is placed horizontally.

For wall mounting, the sub comes with supplied mounting bracket.

The sealed sub features 100-watt continuous amp with 200-watt peak output, auto on/standby, and top-mounted controls for volume, variable 50-150Hz crossover, and 0- to 180-degree variable phase control. In standby mode, power consumption is below 0.5 watts. It also features LFE input and output.

The sub delivers response down to 26Hz and weighs 19 pounds.
