“Reimagine Your Home” With Philips Hue Essential

Signify’s “Reimagine Your Home” campaign introduces the new Hue Bridge Pro, a redesigned range of LED strip lights, home security devices, and more. Along with its new entry-level product line, Philips Hue Essential, these major updates to Philips Hue help Signify make smart living even more accessible and immersive for consumers.

“With these launches, we are opening a new chapter for Philips Hue,” said John Smith, Business Leader for Philips Hue at Signify. “Smart lighting sits at the heart of what we do, but our vision for the smart home goes further: with offerings that cover security, entertainment, and wellbeing, increasingly tapping into the potential of artificial intelligence. Our goal is to make our users’ lives more intuitive, personalized, and connected—and to reimagine home itself.”

A future-ready foundation with the new Hue Bridge Pro

The new Hue Bridge Pro lays the foundation for the next era of smart lighting control. The sleek, all-black centerpiece of the Hue ecosystem is a powerful evolution of the current Philips Hue Bridge and sets new standards for performance, capacity, and speed. With support for up to 150 lights and 50 accessories, it powers even the most ambitious Hue homes from a single Bridge – making smart lighting simpler, faster, and more future-ready.

Built with a processor five times more powerful and a memory 15 times larger than the Philips Hue Bridge, the Hue Bridge Pro allows users to store over 500 custom lighting scenes and enjoy faster response times across the system. It’s powered by the new Hue Chip Pro and enables cutting-edge capabilities like Hue Motion AwareTM – an advanced smart feature that transforms Philips Hue lights into motion sensors, which turn on the lights when motion is detected.

Upgrading is easy: users can transfer all the settings of a current Philips Hue bridge with just a few clicks. Support for combining multiple Bridges into a single Bridge Pro will come before the end of the year.

Philips Hue Essential offers an even more accessible entry to the Hue system

Philips Hue is known for premium quality smart lighting, seamless integration, and intuitive control. With the new Philips Hue Essential range, that same trusted experience is now available at a more accessible price point. Essential products run on the same software and connectivity as the main Philips Hue line, ensuring reliability and compatibility across the ecosystem — but with simplified lighting performance, making it a more affordable way to start your Philips Hue journey.

The range includes A19 and BR30 bulbs, and a versatile strip light that offers a wide spectrum of white and color tones to create the right ambiance in any space. Fully compatible with the Hue ecosystem, they work instantly with Bluetooth and unlock even more features when paired with a Hue Bridge. Whether starting small or building toward a whole-home setup, Philips Hue Essential makes it easier than ever to enjoy the benefits of smart lighting.

Realize any setup with the brand-new range of strip lights

Strip lights are one of the most creative ways to transform a space – and Philips Hue is revamping this category with a brand-new range of LED strips. The main strip light highlight is the Philips Hue OmniGlow, our first perfectly spot-free strip based on CSP (chip-scale-packaging) technology, delivering a smooth, premium light effect for any application.

The popular Festavia range expands with two new outdoor products

The Philips Hue Festavia permanent string lights are made to stay in place all year long – mounted along facades or rooflines – to create a decor matching your mood or any celebration with ease. The Philips Hue Festavia globe string lights complement this with elegant bulbs in a lightguide-style design, adding a decorative sparkle to balconies, pergolas, or patios. Both options are IP65 rated for year-round durability, helping users create different vibes for every festivity or moment – without needing to take them down.

The Hue Secure video doorbell helps improve home security

With Hue Secure, lighting meets peace of mind. The new Secure video doorbell is a key upgrade that helps users keep an eye on their front door, sending push notifications – or turn lights on automatically – when motion is detected or someone rings the bell. Thanks to a wide-angle lens and two-way talk, users can see who’s there and communicate with them from anywhere.

The new Hue Smart Chime complements the system by providing sound alerts when the doorbell rings. Simply plug it in and stay informed – no matter where you are in your home.

New software updates are also enhancing Secure features:

24-hour video history now free later this year – Previously part of the Secure subscription, this feature is now available to all Hue Secure camera and doorbell users at no cost
Cameras can now recognize smoke alarm signals and respond with emergency light alerts
In 2026, AI-powered facial recognition will reduce false alerts and personalize user responses

Sonos and Philips Hue: Immersive sound meets smart lighting

Hue is taking an exciting new step in entertainment – announcing a partnership with Sonos, the leader in immersive sound, which aims to deliver a more unified smart home experience, integrating light and sound in new, intuitive ways. As a first step, Sonos Voice Control users will soon be able to operate Philips Hue lights using voice commands.

The rise of AI-driven experiences

Hue’s AI-powered capabilities continue to evolve. Following the early-2025 debut of its generative AI assistant, the feature is now live in most markets. The assistant uses contextual understanding to suggest or create lighting scenes based on a user’s mood, style, or occasion – unlocking lighting that feels more responsive than ever before.

Support for creating automations via the AI assistant will launch shortly, allowing users to set up smart, effortless routines. In addition, the Hue Sync PC app will introduce a new syncing mode that leverages AI to extract the most relevant events on screen, creating an even more immersive and dynamic entertainment experience.
