Polk MagniFi Max Flagship Soundbar Bundles In Wireless Speakers

Polk Audio introduced what the company is calling its most expansive soundbar to date: the MagniFi Max SR.

Featuring the company’s Stereo Dimensional Array (SDA) digital surround technology, the soundbar is geared toward home-theater environments and comes bundled with wireless surround speakers for delivering 5.1 surround sound.

Polk also offers the soundbar and SR1 wireless speakers a la carte.

Features include DTS and Dolby Digital decoding, Bluetooth, and a Voice Adjust technology for clearer dialogue. It also has Google Home technology and can connect with any Chromecast audio-enabled device for voice control and music streaming.

The MagniFi, which has a 2-inch profile, is built with four 1-inch by 3-inch full-range drivers, two 0.75-inch tweeters, one 1-inch center channel driver and an included 8-inch ported woofer. It comes with a subwoofer and has several preset EQ settings.

Polk Smart Remote compatibility makes it controllable via popular IR TV remotes from Samsung, LG, Sony and Vizio, according to the company.

It also comes with three built-In Ultra HD 4K HDMI (HDCP 2.2) inputs, one HDMI (ARC) output, optical input for TV audio, aux input and Ethernet.

The MagniFi Max SR ($599) — the soundbar and wireless speakers bundle — will carry a $599 suggested retail. They can also be purchased separately for $499 and $149, respectively. All will be available in August at Best Buy, Amazon, Crutchfield and PokAudio.com.

Polk is a Sound United brand.
