PlumChoice, InstallerNet Team Up For IoT Support To Consumers

Las Vegas – PlumChoice and InstallerNet will team up at International CES for the joint launch of Connected Lifestyle Services, which provide consumers with pre-purchase advice, installation, and post-sale support for connected-home and connected-car products.

In February, carrier U.S. Cellular will become the first company to offer the services to customers purchasing its newly launched home-automation services.

The two companies positioned their offerings as helping drive IoT device sales and usage and enabling manufacturers, retailers and solution providers to reduce returns and provide a better customer experience.

The services will help consumers install, configure, use and connect IoT devices, freeing up brands to focus on product innovation while “ensuring that their customers receive the specialized technical support and services they need to enjoy and gain value from their connected products from the point of purchase,” said Paul Weichselbaum, EVP of specialized technical services provider PlumChoice.

Services include guidance on DIY installations, do-it-for-me installation, service activation, product demonstration and use training, integration in the home, system design and optimization, troubleshooting and repair service, and ongoing technical advice.

InstallerNet president/CEO Anthony Frangiosa contended the services will help companies “protect their brands while delivering differentiated pre-sales consultation, installation, onboarding and ongoing support.”

“In the age of the IoT, installation and adoption have become challenging barriers to entry for retailers, service providers and manufacturers,” Frangiosa said.

InstallerNet coordinates the installation of consumer and commercial electronics through a nationwide network of independently owned mobile and home electronics installers.
