Netflix subscribers received an added perk this morning: the ability to download video content for off-line viewing.
Rival Amazon also offers a similar feature for its Prime Video service.
Clicking the Download button on the details page will enable subscribers to watch the content on an iOS or Android device, even without an Internet connection. They must first update the Netflix app to the most recent version.
Not all content is currently available for this feature, but Netflix said in a company blog post that “more [is] on the way.”
