NEW YORK
— Nero introduced upgrades to
two of its HD video-editing solutions.
Nero Video Premium HD and Nero Multimedia
Suite 10 Platinum HD will be available
at retail on Oc. 14 with respective suggested
retails of $69 and $129, said Richard Carriere,
Nero’s worldwide marketing senior VP.
Customers who own the previous version of
Nero Multimedia Suite 10 can upgrade to the
generation of the product by paying $29.99
for an electronic download of the software.
Nero Multimedia Suite 10 Platinum HD includes
HD video editing, backup and burning,
while Nero Video Premium sticks just
with editing.
The primary addition to both titles is Bluray
playback capability, HD editing and improvements
in Nero’s MediaHub 10.5 archiving
software.
Nero has added new transitions, movie
themes and the ability to add picture in picture
to videos more.
Each title now features the Nero Blu-ray
plug-in, allowing users to play and author
Blu-ray discs.
The company’s Move It plug-in comes only
with Nero Multimedia Suite 10 Platinum HD,
which allows users to more easily shift content
between devices. This includes mobile
devices like iPhones, iPads and Androidbased
phones. The software will seek out
and catalog content from connected devices
and can automatically transcode media into
matching file formats, Carriere said.
MediaHub also features new real-time
slideshow tool, the ability to export movies
to the Flash video format.
