NEC recently introduced two affordably priced, compact DLP front projectors at its NEC partner showcase.
The models — LT30 and LT35 — are both designed for either corporate or home theater applications. They feature compact body designs, offering footprints measuring 8.5 inches by 11 inches and weigh less than 5 pounds.
Both units were designed for easy-to-use display applications, featuring automatic start-up and shut-down, focus, keystone correction, cool down and Auto-Sense functionality. AutoSense syncs the projector with computer signals and features one-touch image optimization for instant image clarity, and detail.
Each model uses an XGA 1,024 by 768 DLP chip and includes advanced video processing including 3-2/2-2 pull-down image adjustment, which limits artifacts when interpolating film-based image sources. Brightness on the LT30 and LT35 is listed as 2,600 and 3,000 lumens, respectively.
Built-in wall color correction circuitry automatically adjusts image color when projected onto non-white surfaces.
Both models ship to dealers this month. The LT30 carries a $1,795 suggested retail, while the LT35 is priced at $2,195.
The projectors come standard with NEC’s three-year limited warranty on parts and one-year limited warranty on labor, along with InstaCare, which provides quick repair and/or replacement. Also available is optional EcoCare recycling coverage. The lamp is covered by a one-year or 500-hour limited warranty.
