Monster Shows Its Core At CEDIA Expo

Monster powered up at CEDIA Expo.

The cable/speaker/headphones maker showed off its expanded Core line of HDMI cables, keeping in line with the company’s traditional “good, better, best” feature and pricing ladder.

The cables — Gold, Platinum, Black Platinum and Premium Black Platinum — are priced from $49.95 to $199.

The top-of-the-line Premium Black Platinum cable is rated at 31.5Gbps, while the Black Platinum is 27Gbps, Platinum 22.5Gbps and Gold 18Gbps. The Premium Black Platinum cables also feature indicator lights and are protected under Monster’s Cables For Life replacement program.

A recently Silver line of digital coax, fiber optic, stereo audio, subwoofer and VGA cables range from $59.95 to $99.95.

Also on display at CEDIA was its trio of Black Platinum PowerCenter surge protection. They are offered in six-, eight- and 12-outlet versions, priced respectively at $169, $199 and $219.

All three come with a powerline adapter, enables consumers to eschew Wi-Fi in favor of a more stable Ethernet connection.

Monster also showed its Soundstage wireless multizone audio speakers
