MARTA Cooperative of America has announced the appointment of Warren Mann as its new executive director. “We are fortunate to have an individual with Warren Mann’s experience leading our membership at this time,” said MARTA chairman Elmer Karl. “He has worked on both the vendor’s side of the table and the retailer’s side. As we enter the next millennium various trends seem to favor independent, selling floor retailers. Our members felt that Warren was uniquely qualified to coordinate the group’s development in these directions.”
Before joining MARTA, Mann was group director for the NATM Buying Corp. since 1992 and was senior VP of Sansui Electronics before that. Both MARTA and NATM have announced new leadership plans this year. At NATM, Bill Trawick will replace Saul Gold as executive director in January 2000.
