House of Marley has added a new pair of Bluetooth 4.0 headphones to its eco-conscious CE line.
The on-ear Rebel BT headphones — which at $69.00 are the company’s most affordable wireless model — have housings made of blended materials based on bio-mass and eco-plastics. This combination of materials is engineered to ensure a balance of durability and environmental sustainability, the company said in a statement.
Features of the Rebel BT include 40mm drivers, A2DP audio, the company’s Regrind silicone rubber headband, built-in mic and controls, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with up to eight hours of play time. It also comes with a removable cable with an in-line remote for wired use.
Frequency response is listed at 15Hz to 22kHz.
“We took the essentials of our Roar wired headphones and gave them a lift with Bluetooth convenience to create Rebel,” said Sam Vanderveer, senior VP and general manager of House of Marley. “We wanted to make a headset that is affordable and still deliver the quality and sustainable craftsmanship our audiences have come to expect from House of Marley.”
They are currently available in black, gray or navy.
