Lowe’s Adds Majap Repair Service
MOORESVILLE, N.C. –
No. 2 majap retailer Lowe’s has brought white-goods repairs inhouse. The home-improvement chain launched a repair services program in the second half of 2010 “to further meet our customers’ desire for a simplified and seamless experience,” the company reported in its just-released 10-K filing. Having greater control over the after-sale service will result in more positive customer experiences, Lowe’s said, which should help drive incremental repeat business and additional purchases across the store. The company also expects to realize cost savings through lower appliance return rates and by working with vendors to resolve any quality control issues it may identify.
