Sunnyvale, Calif. – Action-video camera maker Looxcie recently introduced a new line of wearable video cameras newly supporting FullHD 1080p video capture and Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Looxcie HD upgrades the company’s previous 480p entries with 1080p HD capability and adds Wi-Fi connectivity for Android or iOS devices instead of the previous Bluetooth.
Users can simultaneous shoot action and share a live SD video stream with friends. Looxcie is calling the new camera “the first wearable cam that offers direct-to-Facebook live streaming.”
The cameras are weather resistant, include Looxcie Clips for wearing, and feature a larger 1,200 mAh battery and improved low-light performance.
The Looxcie HD cameras will be available in a choice of bundled options starting at a $280 suggested retail, ranging to $350 depending on configuration.
