Framingham, Mass. — Wireless-speaker maker Libratone is adopting a new brand identity to emphasize its Scandinavian-rooted design and audio expertise.

The Copenhagen, Denmark-based company created the new “360 Scandinavian” tagline and will roll out the new branding initially on its website and social-media channels. The branding will roll out shortly after on packaging, point-of-sale materials and ads.

“Our new brand identity articulates our vision and will ensure that we deliver a clear and consistent brand message in North America," said CEO Gregg Stein.

The company, founded in 2009, will continue to focus on unique designs and continue to emphasize wireless and portable speakers, the company said. Libratone speakers already come with Italian wool covers in a wide range of colors that can be changed to suit a home’s décor.

"Historically, speakers have always been the eyesore in the room,” said Stein.
