LG To Debut 79” UHD TV At Video & Audio Center

Santa Monica, Calif. — LG Electronics is debuting its third-generation 79-inch Ultra HD TV at Video & Audio Center, here, on Thursday, May 8, for the media and consumers.

Model 79UB9800, which has a suggested retail of $7,999, features HDMI 2.0 and H.265 codec. Real 4K content can be displayed whether it’s streamed over the Internet or played from a USB or HDMI source, the retailer said.

LG executives and engineers will be on hand to answer media questions and will be there for the entire event, which takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The media briefing will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The 79-inch Ultra HD TV will begin to go on sale right after the press briefing, Video & Audio Center said.

“These incredible new LG third-generation 4K Ultra HD TVs will be extremely popular and marks another first for us, Southern California and LG,” remarked Joseph Akhtarzad, co-owner of Video & Audio Center, whose chain has been introducing top technology for three decades. In the last two years, it has introduced a number of Ultra HD TVs from a variety of manufacturers.
