Fremont, Calif. — Lexar unveiled what it’s calling the industry’s first 256GB SDXC UHS-I memory card.
The Professional 400x SDXC UHS-I is a Class 10 card using the SD 3.0 specification. It’s designed for photogs who deal with 1080p FullHD and 3D video.
Read speeds are listed at 60MBps.
“By utilizing Micron’s industry-leading, 128GB, 20nm NAND flash-memory process technology, Lexar is the first to market a 256GB SDXC card,” said Wes Brewer, products and technology VP for Lexar.
It will be available in October for an $899 suggested retail.
