Kodak PixPro Ships Fall Camera Lineup

Kodak PixPro is releasing several models as part of its fall 2014 digital camera lineup, highlighted by the line’s first 360-degree video camera/still camera.

The Kodak PixPro SP360 ($349 suggested retail for an Explorer/Aqua Pack or $399 for an Extreme Pack) action cam captures full 360-degree panoramic still and video images offering seamless built-in image stitching.

The SP360 camera joins the already launched Kodak PixPro Smart Lens — the SL25 ($299) and SL10 ($229) — cameras that look like small SLR lenses, but are full-fleged point-&-shoots designed to clip onto an iPhone or Android smartphone to take images using the phone’s LCD viewscreen as a viewfinder with a software-based shutter release.

Another fall model is the Kodak PixPro AZ651 ($379) 65x optical tele-zoom bridge camera, featuring a 20-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, 3-inch articulating LCD, and an electronic viewfinder.
