James Loudspeaker announced new audio solutions on Tuesday, all of which it plans to display at CES 2017 in January.
Both the Omni48AT landscape satellite speaker and Omni89AT satellite/subwoofer package are made from marine-grade powder-coated aluminum enclosures and feature proprietary drivers.
The Omni48AT is able to deliver 360-degree sound using four coaxially mounted 0.75-inch aluminum dome tweeters over 4-inch woofers. The woofers feature an aluminum cone and Santoprene surround, intended to withstand harsh outdoor environments.
The Omni89AT package combines the Omni48AT with a matching down-firing 8-inch subwoofer — also housed in an aluminum enclosure. Typical applications include rocky landscape areas where traditional satellite/in-ground subwoofers cannot be installed, or a large area of open seating where full omnidirectional coverage is beneficial, the company said.
Both are available in 4-ohm or 70-volt versions, with 15 standard finishes and “unlimited” custom colors and coatings available. The Omni48AT4 4-ohm carries a $1,000 suggested retail, while the Omni48AT70 70-volt is $1,100. The Omni89AT4 4-ohm is $1,800, and the Omni89AT70 70-volt is $2,000.
