Harman Taps Lillard As Brand Ambassador

Stamford, Conn. – Two-time NBA All-Star Damian Lillard has been drafted by Harman as the company’s first brand ambassador from the NBA.

The Portland Trailblazers point guard will be brand ambassador for Harman’s JBL brand.

The announcement follows last September’s announcement of Harman’s multiyear marketing and licensing agreement with the NBA to become the official headphone, speaker and audio partner of the NBA, Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), NBA Development League (NBA D-League), and USA Basketball.

Lillard will participate in JBL marketing and awareness programs, including brand advertising, integrated social media and content programs

Harman’s ambassadors include Grammy-winning rock bands Maroon 5 and Linkin Park; musician, producer, and artist Quincy Jones; Indian composer, record producer, musician, and singer AR Rahman; and piano star Lang Lang.

Harman’s other brand ambassador from the sports world is Mariano Rivera.

“Music and sports tap into people’s emotions, aspirations and imaginations, influencing culture in a unique way that transcends geographic and demographic boundaries,” said Harman CMO Ralph Santana. Harman will work with Lillard to “elevate the JBL brand and enhance the experience of music and sports for fans around the world,” he said.
