SAN DIEGO — Ecoxgear recently launched the Ecostone waterproof Bluetooth speaker, geared toward outdoor enthusiasts.
Designed as a rugged portable speaker, the Ecostone can float if accidently dropped into the pool or ocean. It has passed both the IP68 international waterproofing standards and military grade testing MIL810G, meaning it can withstand anything from being 100 percent submerged in water to a sandstorm in a desert of temperatures up to 140 degrees F.
Features include 3.5-inch drivers, 3.5mm aux input, a carry handle, detachable mounting options, battery indicator, USB battery charger for smartphones or tablets, and an LED flashlight. The lithiumion rechargeable battery offers 12 hours of playtime and the ability to fully recharge in 2.5 hours, according to the company. It’s currently available in black, blue, orange and camo for a $149 suggested retail.
