Cerritos, Calif. — David Levy Company (DLC) is developing its own line of aftermarket parking-assist systems, which will carry the iPark brand.
The company had been marketing Steel-Mate parking assist systems in the U.S. for seven years, importing them from Hong Kong-based Steelmate, a manufacturer and designer of vehicle-security systems, car speakers and other automotive aftermarket products.
The systems will include rear parking assist, front parking assist, front and rear parking assist, wireless rear parking assist, and video-overlay parking assist with camera and onscreen data.
The first four models are scheduled to ship by July 1, and four more models will follow within a month, the company said. Two of the first four products include the company’s iStyle displays, and two models feature hideaway buzzer outputs.
The products are targeted to expediters and installing car electronics specialists
DLC has registered trademarks for the iPark and iStyle trade names.
