Mahwah, N.J. – Denon launched its first under-TV speaker, a $349-suggested model that will be in stores in mid-October.
The DHT-T110 TV Speaker Base fits under most TVs up to 50 inches in screen size and supports TVs weighing up to 60 pounds.
Key features include optical and coaxial digital inputs, analog input, Dolby Digital decoding, and Denon Virtual Surround technology. It also features stereo Bluetooth streaming with aptX, movie and music modes, a dedicated dialog mode, and a night mode for delivering balanced sound at low listening levels.
The driver complement consists of dual 2×5-inch oval drivers, dual 0.5-inch dome tweeters, and dual back bass tubes. Power output was unavailable.
Although a simple remote is included, it can be operated from a home’s existing TV remote because it learns the TV’s remote codes.
Additional details were unavailable.
Earlier this year, Denon re-entered the related soundbar market.
