Dacor Shipping New Colored Glass Dishwashers

Premium majap maker Dacor last month began shipping to authorized dealers what it describes as the industry’s first dishwashers with colored glass front panels.

The new 24-inch models join Dacor’s fashion-forward Preference platform, and carry suggested retails of $1,699.

“We are thrilled about the introduction of the new 24-inch dishwashers because they create design options that were previously unavailable,” said Elaine Chaney, the company’s marketing and sales senior VP.

Color in kitchen appliances continues to grow in popularity as a contemporary alternative and complement to classic stainless steel, Chaney observed, and Dacor responded to the increasing demand with the introduction of what the vendor called “the industry’s only 24-inch dishwasher in an array of striking colors.”

The line’s floating-glass front panels are available in six tones: anthracite gray, sterling gray, titanium silver, blue water, slate green and black, which coordinate with existing appliances within the Preference platform. The models also feature the same curved handle available on the Preference wall oven, warming drawer and refrigerator.

Beyond their appearance, the new dishwashers feature intuitive controls and precise engineering capabilities to provide superior performance, the company said. Rated 95.6 in cleanability by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), the new 24-inch models are also fully insulated for quiet operation, while hidden control panel features a soft touchpad for precise digital management and easy operation.

In addition, internal sensor technology includes turbidity sensors that detect the amount of debris on dishwasher contents and determines the precise water temperature and cycle.
