D-Link has started shipping to two
small-form-factor Wi-Fi adapters.
The Wireless N 150 Pico
Adapter and the Wireless N Nano
USB Adapter will upgrade an
802.11b/g notebook or desktop to
the 802.11n standard.
Each adapter connects via
USB.
The Wireless N 150 Pico Adapter
offers data-transfer speeds up
to 150MBps, secure connections
using WPA or WPA2 encryption,
and is USB 2.0 compliant.
The Wireless N Nano USB
Adapter adds D-Link’s quick
adapter setup wizard, and has a
multiple antenna array that uses
a room’s ceilings and walls to
bounce signals around to avoid
interference and eliminate dead
spots. Other features include a
wireless connection manager that
tells the user what networks have
recently been accessed and Wi-
Fi Protected Setup that establishes
a network connection without
requiring encryption codes.
Each has a $49.99 suggested
retail.
