CES 2016: Here Comes The GoSun Grill

GoSun Stove at CES with its  Innovation Awards Honoree GoSun Grill.

This solar-powered solution can cook almost anything including, eggs, vegetables, fish, chicken, meats and even bake biscuits, without gas or charcoal and with no emissions, said the company. The GoSun Grill utilizes a solar battery that allows the user to cook during the day, at night, or even when it’s cloudy outside.

“For 15 years, I’ve sunk my teeth into everything solar. But I struggled to find a simple, durable, and affordable cooking solution. In 2013, we launched our first portable solar cooking solution and were met with overwhelming support,” said GoSun founder Patrick Sherwin. “The introduction of the GoSun Grill demonstrates our commitment to providing clean cooking solutions for consumers around the globe.”

GoSun Stove manufactures solar cookers that can heat up to 550 degrees F and cook a meal in as little as 20 minutes with no fuel other than the sun. Availability is scheduled for this year. The GoSun Grill can be pre-ordered at the GoSun website for $499, a $100 discount off the list price.
