MX HomePro offers users one-touch control of home entertainment and IoT components, including lighting, thermostats, security cameras and Z-Wave products. It includes an ergonomic URC remote control and compact H500 Smart Hub, which connects via Wi-Fi or Ethernet to control the main room of entertainment plus smart home devices throughout the home.
The free MX HomePro app delivers on-the-go control via mobile devices. The app also allows installers to maintain customers’ systems from anywhere with web access. The Cloud-based Editor software offers system programming via PC, Mac, smartphone or tablet.
Supporting the MX HomePro debut, URC will offer two CEDIA 2016 MX HomePro product training courses to be held Sept. 15 and 16 at the show. URC will also provide hands-on programming demonstrations in its booth, No. 5128.
“As we designed MX HomePro, URC worked closely with our integration partners,” said Doug Cole, senior VP/general manager of URC. “These include leading brands in A/V, lighting, HVAC, surveillance and security and more — supported by the industry’s largest database of IR and IP control codes,” said Cole.
The R500 Wi-Fi Smart remote control features a 2-inch color LCD and a favorite channels option. Installers can add the URC Z-Wave Gateway TRF-ZW2 to control all Z-Wave based lights, thermostats, door locks and security cameras within the home and enable creation of one-touch Z-Wave scenes.
URC is currently accepting orders for MX HomePro with initial shipments slated for early October 2016.
