Santa Clara, Calif.–Elliot Broadwin today was named chief executive officer of iVast, a developer of streaming media.
Broadwin is a 20-year industry veteran and came to iVast from S-Vision, where he was CEO. He also founded OpenTV, a creator of interactive television software, and worked for Thomson Consumer Electronics as general manager of its high-end color TV business.
Broadwin said iVast’s MPEG-4-based technology will fundamentally change how consumers interact with their PCs, PDAs and televisions by delivering integrated video, advanced audio and 3D graphics and animation.
