Bosch Taps Almo For Distribution

PHILADELPHIA —

National majap and CE
distributor Almo Corp. has been tapped to
provide the premium Bosch home appliance
line to small- and medium-sized dealers
throughout the U.S. beginning Aug. 1.

Bosch parent BSH Home Appliances had
previously distributed its products directly to
that channel.

BSH senior sales VP John Iacoviello said
the manufacturer chose Almo “to ensure
that our important smaller and medium-sized
dealers continue to receive best-in-class
service … This is a key strength and core
competence of [Almo].”

The family-run distributor, which is known
for its personalized service and rapid-ship
delivery program, operates 10 strategically located
distribution centers from coast to coast,
which allows the company to ship to more than
90 percent of the U.S. within 48 hours.

“The Bosch brand is synonymous with excellence,
making it an ideal addition to the
Almo family of brands,” said Warren Chaiken,
the distributor’s president/COO. “We are
well positioned to service existing Bosch customers
in this market segment [and have] set
a team in motion to ensure a smooth transition
as we welcome them to the Almo family.”

Dealers with questions related to the transition
should contact their local BSH representative
or Almo customer support line at
(866) 430-2566.

Germany’s BSH is one of the world’s largest
major appliance manufacturers with a
brand portfolio that includes the Bosch, Siemens,
Thermador and Gaggenau badges. It
maintains U.S. production facilities in New
Bern, N.C., and La Follette, Tenn.

Founded in 1946, Almo’s 10 regional distribution
facilities comprise more than 1 million
square feet of warehousing for major appliance,
CE and home and commercial A/V
products.
