Bertazzoni Readies 48-Inch Pro Series Gas Range For Rollout

Bertazzoni, a leading Italian manufacturer of precision-engineered kitchen lifestyle products, has begun shipping its new 48-inch Professional series gas range to its North American distributors. The model expands the ultra-premium line of freestanding designer pro ranges, built-in cook tops, ventilation hoods and design-coordinated accessories that feature technologically advanced engineering and streamlined design.

“Bertazzoni’s new 48-inch stainless steel Professional series was created to uniquely combine Italian design with the generous layout of today’s kitchen,” said Paolo Bertazzoni, the company’s fifth-generation president. “By incorporating all of the advanced technology and sophisticated engineering upon which Bertazzoni has built its legacy, the 48-inch Professional series adds performance, elegance and scale to the stylish home.”

The range comes complete with a main oven featuring convection, and a practical auxiliary oven with a special low-temperature setting; six gas burners; and a built-in electric griddle. Exclusive to the line is Bertazzoni’s triple-ring burner which, based on a new high-efficiency technology, features separately controlled flames that generate up to 15,000 Btu, and a dedicated simmer burner for delicate cooking.

Other features include best-in-class, one-piece work-top styling with uniquely sealed burners and a seamless surface for quick and easy cleanup, heavy-duty cast iron grates for easy movement of pots, and a wok adapter and simmer plate.

The range also has child-safe valves on all burners that stop gas flow if the flame goes out, even in the event of a power outage, plus one-touch ignition systems and a uniquely balanced air-flow fan, which provides even heat distribution for single- and multi-level roasting and baking without flavor crossover.

Settings include traditional operation for gas cooking or a convection oven, plus dehydration and fan-only defrosting, while a wide-area infrared gas grill allows searing and broiling over a large surface area.

Bertazzoni also boasts a triple-glaze door to ensure minimal heat loss and low-temperature external surfaces; abundant storage below the oven and internal oven lights to supply ample illumination at each cooking level; and design-matched backsplashes and adjustable ventilator hoods with three settings for extraction of unwanted steam and heat.

The Professional Series is also available in a new, 24-inch freestanding model, which joins earlier 30- and 36-inch ranges. Suggested retails begins at $5,000.

Bertazzoni, a 125-year-old family-owned company, began exporting its product to the U.S. market in 2006.
