Integra Adds Google Cast, MQA
Integra is bringing multiple technologies to its AVRs for the first time, including networked multiroom audio, Google Cast for audio, and Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) high-resolution audio decoding. With the launches, Integra became the first company to announce AVRs with MQA compatibility, MQA inventor MQA Ltd. confirmed.
The technologies will be available as firmware updates, along with DTS:X surround decoding, in four new custom-install-oriented 7.2-channel AVRs. They are the $800-suggested DRX-2, $1,000 DRX- 3, $1,300 DRX-4, and $1,700 DRX-5. All are available. The Google Cast, MQA, and DTS:X upgrades will be available in the fall along with Tidal streaming. A time frame for adding networked multiroom was unavailable.
Autonomic’s Server Hooks Up With Elan
Autonomic’s Mirage Audio System (MAS) package, consisting of a 16-zone high-res media server and digital matrix-switching amplifiers, can now be integrated with Elan’s home-control systems, thanks to Mirage drivers available for Elan systems. Within Elan systems, consumers use iOS and Android apps to connect to the Mirage Media Server to browse content by album, artist, titles or favorites.
